TVS Apache RTR 180:
Apache RTR 180 has been very well received by bike enthusiasts and the new RTR 180 is going to take a step further with more powerful engine and some interesting additions in design. The bike retains the basic lines of the current RTR & comes with all the high tech features: digital speedometer with top speed, 0-60 timer, trips, and other extra functionality plus stunning looks. Apache RTR looks best in its class and has been priced very competitively in comparison to other bikes in its segment.
The Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4cc engine which generates 17 Bhp of maximum power with 15.5 Nm of maximum torque. The new engine still remains an over square unit, but not so much so as the 160. Power is up by 1.3 Bhp to 17 Bhp and the new engine produces 2.4 more units of twisting force at 15.5Nm. The peak power is produced at 8500 rpm, similar to RTR 160, though the peak torque is now produced at 6500 revs.
The new apache RTR 180 to reach 60kmph from standstill in 4.15 seconds and the top speed is as 125kph. Apache RTR has both front and back disc brakes and tubeless tyres.
TVS Apache RTR 160:
Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7cc engine which develops maximum power of 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.1 Nm at 6000 rpm. Wheelbase is increased to 1300mm from the current 1260mm of Apache 150, to accommodate 40 mm longer rectangular swing arm. This is to increase the stability of the bike.
It comes with digital dash – LCD Speedo, two trip meters, clock, odometer, fuel gauge and an analog tachometer. Also have useful features like service reminder and battery indicator. Another useful feature is the clip on handlebar for various positions.
Apart from the Digital Speedometer and the Petal shaped disc brakes which are “new” additions on the Apache RTR 160 Its rear is completely new with LED tail lamps, re-styled silencer and split grab rail.

TVS Scooty PEP+:
The Pep+ retains the familiar face with its friendly expression but gets a tangy new set of graphics. The grab-rail also now match its body colour. Dual-tone shades spruce up the scooter with a racy chequered look on the front apron and rear panels. Grips, levers, switchgear and mirrors are top-notch. The only drawback is absence of a rear brake-locking clamp. In a smart move, the key slot itself is fluorescent, so as to allow grope-free access in the dark. There’s also a new cell phone-charging point. A spring at the mounting pivot prevents the seat from accidentally closing at a fuel station and crushing unsuspecting fingers. It retains its quality feel in offering alloy rims, both front and rear. The refreshed force air-cooled Plus motor feels just as buzz-free and convenient in its automatic ways as before, but there is a difference with healthy dozes of supplementary performance begging to be used.
The Plus not only feels meaty where it matters most in its low- and midrange punch, but does manage a relatively respectable top speed of 71kph delivered with refinement. Sitting on the Scooty is comfortable for all. The Scooty was always bold offering twin telescopic forks as front suspension. While the rest of the industry sticks with diminutive and far less effective front dampers, the Pep Plus carries forward this handling-enhancing theme. At the rear, there is a single shock absorber doing duty in conjunction with its hinged engine. The alloy rim-shod Pep Plus is a well-damped scooterette that offers as much stability as can be expected from any two-wheeler on 10-inch wheels. It steers accurately, turn-in to corners is feather-like and cornering manners satisfactory. The 110mm drum brakes are adequate kit for this vehicle, and offer fine feedback through their individual levers.
TVS XL 100:
TVS Super XL comes with single cylinder, air-cooled, 2-stroke engine with displacement of 69.9 CC developing 3.5 bhp of peak power at 5000 rpm and a torque of 5.0Nm is generated at 3750rpm, the multi-reflector headlight of the TVS Super XL comes as an added advantage to improve visibility and its flashy decals impart a good look to it. TVS Super XL comes with an easy-to remove wheel arrangement, made possible by the use of QD wheeling system. TVS Super Xl offers good reliability thanks to its auto-wet clutch system and its large seating capacity offers a comfortable riding experience.. The TVS Super XL is started by kick start. It has single speed gearbox and roller chain drive. TVS XL Super centrifugal wet type of clutch. The front suspensions in TVS Super XL include telescopic spring type and the rear suspension includes swing arm with hydraulic shocks. TVS Super XL has 80 mm diameter drum brakes in the front and 110 mm drum brakes in the rear. TVS Super XL gives a very good mileage of around 35 kilometers per liter. It is available at a very much affordable price across major cities in India. TVS Super XL at a modest price offers decent comfort features apart from serving as an economy vehicle, making it ideal suiting the needs of the lower middle class.
